Private Prenatal & Postpartum Support
With ten years experience as a doula and birth educator, I continue to provide private prenatal and postpartum support for mothers and families across Far North Queensland, and online.
While I am currently not attending births, my 1:1 offerings and packages provide personalised education, support and guidance as you navigate your way through pregnancy and postpartum.
If you can’t find a group class with dates to suit you, or you’d like more personalised and ongoing support, one of my private prenatal and postpartum support offerings might be for you.

- Explore breastfeeding and postpartum support, and preparing for the first six weeks with your newborn
- Complete a hands-on birth preparation session including active upright labour and birth positions
You will also receive:
- Access to my extensive library of resources

Private Active Birth Preparation Session
This private Active Birth Preparation Session is designed for mothers and birth partners wanting to learn practical partner support techniques for labour and birth, or to refresh a previous birth education class.
During this three-hour private session we will:
- Touch on the stages of labour, what labour can sound and look like at each stage, what birth partners can do to help at each stage, and what to avoid
- Practice Optimal Maternal Positioning techniques to support pelvic alignment during pregnancy
- Learn natural techniques to calm the nervous system and reduce pain in labour
- Explore upright and active labour and birth positions to support baby’s pathway
- Master some practical hands-on comfort techniques for partners
Private Closing the Bones Ceremony
The Private Closing the Bones ceremony offers the same rituals from our intimate group ceremony, in a private offering just for you.
Based on traditional Mexican rituals, the purpose of the ceremony is to bring the mother back into her body, and energise and nurture her after her birth experience.
This soothing and powerful ceremony symbolically closes the many pathways that were opened during the birth process, returning heat and strength to the body, with support to release what no longer serves, and embrace moving forward.
This is a simple and profound acknowledgement of the rite of passage from maiden to mother (or mother to mother of two or more or of an angel baby) – one that has been lost in the western world today.
Often in birth, women report feeling as though they left their body energetically, and this ritual calls her back in. Using a combination of herbal steam, body binding with the rebozo and soothing touch, we close those pathways.
I am honoured to offer this experience in collaboration with Jaye Seal.
This private ceremony is perfect for:
- Any new mother or long-time mother
- Mothers with birth trauma
- Mothers with positive births
- Mothers ready to bring closure to their childbearing years
- Mothers wanting to acknowledge and celebrate the power of their bodies and birthing journeys
Postnatal Support
The weeks after birth can be a challenging time and you may feel overwhelmed and very alone. As a professional birthworker I am available to provide personalised support during this time, including:
- Breastfeeding support
- Sleep support
- Postpartum bodywork and belly binding
- Helping you with baby (and other children)
- Birth debriefing and journalling
- Support for partners and opening up discussions about postpartum and parenting
- Postpartum planning and coordinating meal trains and other support
- Help with cleaning, washing and cooking
Birth Debriefing
A birth debriefing is an opportunity to reflect, seek clarity on or bring closure to your birthing experience.
This private consultation is suitable for mothers and birth partners who have experienced birth trauma, and those who would simply like support and space holding to piece together their birth story.
During labour and birth, activity slows in our pre-frontal cortex or ‘thinking brain’ which can alter our memory recollection. As a result, many women experience foggy memories of birth or ‘missing pieces’, even in positive and empowering birth experiences.
Women who experience trauma or a medical emergency, receive pharmaceuticals, or undergo interventions or surgery during birth may experience even greater impacts to memories, and may feel the need for additional support and debriefing.
As a birthworker and bodyworker, I am trained in providing trauma-informed and holistic support in the postpartum period including guided birth debriefing to bring about healing and closure.
You can book a birth debriefing on its own, combine several debriefing sessions, or combine a debriefing with physical bodywork such as internal pelvic floor release or a Closing the Bones ceremony, to bring closure to your birth for mind and body.
